Plat Boiler ASTM A283 Gr. C Spesifikasi ini mencakup empat kelas dari pelat baja karbon kualitas struktural untuk aplikasi umum. Sampel baja akan meleleh diproses oleh salah satu perapian terbuka, dasar-oksigen, atau tanur listrik. Panas dan produk analisis harus dilakukan dimana bahan baja harus sesuai dengan komposisi kimia yang dibutuhkan karbon, mangan, fosfor, sulfur, silikon, dan tembaga. Spesimen baja juga wajib menjalani tes tarik dan harus sesuai dengan nilai-nilai yang diperlukan kekuatan tarik, titik luluh, dan elongasi. ASTM A588 Grade C corrosion resistant steel is a weathering resistant steel, which could be more accurately be termed as an “Atmospheric Corrosion Resistant Steel”.
It is a copper chromium alloy steel – this alloy displays a greater level of resistance to atmospheric weathering when compared to other unalloyed steels. Its chemical composition promotes the early formation of an adhering protective layer of rust when exposed to the elements.

ASTM Corten A Introduction
Corten A plate is weather resistant steel which is better suited for heavy and load bearing structures.Corten A is produced from billet castings from blast furnace and hot rolled in a continuous mill for smaller thicknesses and on a four high mill for others. The purity of the steel of fine grade austenitic quality and the addition of special alloys, and provide this steel plates, excellent mechanical characteristics, even at high temperatures and self-passivating properties when exposed tocorrosive agents present in urban atmosphere. This property allows this steel to face down corrosion for longer periods when compared to common steel, even if not painted.

Hot Forming: Normally it is carried out in a temperature range of 800 °C to 1050 °C. If it is required in different temperature, it is advisable to carry out a normalizing treatment at the end.
Flame Cutting: Normally it is carried out with the usual methods. In general, no preheat is required, but working on plates with a temperature of less than 10 °C shall be avoided.
Drawing: In spite of its excellent mechanical Properties, Corten A can be moderately drawn.
Welding: Corten A plate can be easily welded using common procedures used for mild steel plate (spot, TIG, MIG, MAG, electrode etc.). It is however advisable to avoid tempering in the heated zone and therefore to limit the ratio of linear energy to the thickness. Considering the chemical composition, it can be stated that Corten A steel is not subject to cold cracking. Welded structures fabricated with corten a steel does not normally need thermal stress relief treatment.

316 / 316L stainless steel plates are part of the austenitic family of stainless steel and is the most widely used varieties of stainless plate. 316 grades contain a higher level of Nickel than 304 giving it an improved corrosion resistance over 304 grades. 316/316L plate is a good option for marine applications due to a good atmospheric corrosion resistance. 316L is a low carbon modification to 316 grade.
